Type 2 Diabetes Prevention
This free one-year program is open to adults at risk of diabetes in the Greater Danbury community. A certified lifestyle coach will teach the course.
1 in 3 adults have prediabetes and many are not aware. Having prediabetes increases one's risk of developing type 2 diabetes in the future. This program aims to prevent type 2 diabetes by managing prediabetes through promoting healthy eating, weight management, exercise, motivation, and problem-solving to overcome challenges.

- Successful program - proven to delay or prevent type 2 diabetes
This program will meet for a year - weekly for the first 6 months, then once or twice a month for the second 6 months to maintain healthy lifestyle changes. The meetings will be on Thursdays from 5 pm - 6:30 pm at Danbury City Hall.
