Airport
The Danbury Municipal Airport sits on approximately 250 acres of property. The Aviation Commission, under the leadership of Chairman John Ashkar, along with Commissioners: Omasta, Oppermann, Tamburri, and Zilinek, oversee the standards for lease and/or use of the municipal airport, and the current and future planning of the field.

Building
The Building Department is a key division for the future of the City of Danbury. We manage new construction, additions, and renovations of a building from planning stages to completion. We also permit and inspect replacements and additions of mechanical systems, and equipment such as electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, plumbing systems, sewer and water services, retaining walls, roofs, siding, and exterior finishes.

City Council
The City Council approves the appropriation of funds, adopts the City's Operating and Capital Budgets, sets the mill rate, and has overall legislative oversight over the City of Danbury.

Corporation Counsel
The Office of the Corporation Counsel manages the entire remarkably broad and complex legal function of the Government of the City of Danbury. The office, comprised of seasoned attorneys highly skilled in municipal law and a variety of other legal disciplines, advises the Mayor, City Council, and all City departments, agencies and boards of their legal rights and responsibilities.

Economic Development
The Office of Business Advocacy will oversee all economic development efforts throughout the city and will act as a bridge between city government and small to medium-sized businesses as well as Danbury’s existing large corporate base.

The Department of Elderly Services seeks to increase the quality of life of Danbury area citizens who are age 60 or older by developing many comprehensive programs and providing resource and referral services specifically designed to enrich the general well-being of Danbury's more mature population.

Tax Assessor
The Assessor's Office has the responsibility of assessing every taxable and exempt property located in the City of Danbury and compiling these assessments into the City's Grand List. Included in the Grand List are real estate, business personal property and registered motor vehicles. In doing this, we ensure that every property owner is assessed their appropriate share of the City's total tax burden.

Tax Collector
The Tax Collector's Office is a division within the City's Department of Finance and its primary responsibilities are governed by the State of Connecticut General Statutes and the City of Danbury Ordinances. Under these statutes and ordinances, the Tax Collector mails approximately 200,000 tax and utility bills and notices annually.

Town Clerk
The Town Clerk is responsible for the preservation and safekeeping of all official records and documents for the City of Danbury. The various duties and functions of the Town Clerk are defined by Connecticut State Statutes and the City Charter. The Town Clerk is considered the government official in charges of public records, vital statistics and plays a key role in the election process.
